Table of Contents for Root Meanings
General notes:
- Root Meanings is a work in progress that will continue to emerge and evolve. All entries are subject to evolution.
- The entries in Root Meanings have been sourced and refined until they calibrate all the way for truth. Older entries may need to be updated for this to be the case.
- The primary criterion for inclusion in Root Meanings is calibration for truth. These entries are not intended to be consistent with any pre-existing spiritual teachings or traditions. The entries in Root Meanings may differ from or go beyond widely accepted teachings. Moreover, some of what has been sourced may be novel.
- Many excellent and useful definitions are not yet included. If you would like to make a suggestion, you may do so here.
- If you find Root Meanings to be helpful, please considering sponsoring this work or making a donation. Your support helps to ensure that the definitions will continue to be refined and offered free of charge to the world.
- The intention is to distribute Root Meanings under a suitable Creative Commons license before the end of the decade. In the meantime, unless otherwise noted, all works in progress and the final work are copyright Jeff Vander Clute.

Sickness
- The inevitable outcome of believing that one is other than THE SUPREME or that anything could be other than THE SUPREME.
- Sickness is healed at the root by the acceptance that YOU are THE SUPREME and that there is only THE SUPREME.
- Since the individual and collective are one, with no dividing line between them, an apparently individual manifestation of sickness cannot be tightly attributed to that apparent individual. The belief in separation or otherness has to be resolved in the collective for all individuals to be free of afflictions.
- Strictly speaking, there is no individual healing. All healing is universal.
- Ultimately there is no healing because separation does not happen and the manifestations of the belief in separation are unreal.
- The inevitable outcome of believing in separation.
- The inevitable outcome of believing in separation from Divinity/God/Source.
- The inevitable outcome of believing in separation from THE SUPREME.
- A sign of believing in separation.
- A sign of disconnection, fragmentation, and absence of wholeness.
- A sign of rejecting Divinity/God/Source.
- A sign of rejecting reality.
- A sign of rejecting truth.
- A sign of rejecting THE SUPREME.
