In the early 2010s, Sheri Herndon shared the following helpful spectrum for characterizing human activity in the context of social systems:
Co-creation
Collaboration
Cooperation
Competition
In this model, co-creation is the most conscious form of activity and competition is the least conscious form. The model can be expanded on both ends of the spectrum, like so:
Creation (transcending co-)
Co-creation
Collaboration
Cooperation
Competition
Conflict and conquest
On the low end, we can add conflict and conquest. On the high end, human development continues until it is fully realized that all levels of collectivity resolve into the One, into God, and that human equals humanity equals God.
