Table of Contents for Root Meanings

General notes:

  • Root Meanings is a work in progress that will continue to emerge and evolve until the Mind of minds is absolutely clear. The definitions below are subject to evolution.
  • Many excellent and useful definitions are not yet included. If you would like to make a suggestion, you may do so here.
  • The intention is to make these definitions available under a suitable Creative Commons license. In the meantime, unless otherwise noted, all works in progress and the final work are copyright Jeff Vander Clute.

Entropy

  • A measure of the unavailability of consciousness in a living system.
  • A measure of unawakeness in a living system.
  • A measure of unconsciousness in a living system.
  • A measure of unawakeness in the living system that is the universe.
  • A measure of unconsciousness in the living system that is the universe.
  • During a cycle of declining consciousness, entropy increases.
  • During a cycle of elevating consciousness, entropy decreases.
  • The universe is alive and conscious, and every physical system that scientists measure is part of the universal living system. Low entropy, as defined in physics, indicates the availability of more consciousness, and high entropy indicates the availability of less consciousness.
  • As humanity awakens spiritually, it discovers processes that reduce entropy. Ultimately humanity realizes that the universe can be recreated at will, and that entropy is simply an expression of the lack of Source-realization.
  • Entropy is transcended when linear time is transcended.
  • Entropy is transcended when the delusion of finitude, hell, maya, and samsara is transcended.
  • In Supreme Awakeness/Enlightenment, entropy does not exist.

Note: The usual, and highly useful, definition of entropy in thermodynamics resonates 32/100 for truth.
