Table of Contents for Root Meanings

General notes:

  • Root Meanings is a work in progress that will continue to emerge and evolve. All entries are subject to evolution.
  • The entries in Root Meanings have been sourced and refined until they calibrate all the way for truth. Older entries may need to be updated for this to be the case.
  • The primary criterion for inclusion in Root Meanings is calibration for truth. These entries are not intended to be consistent with any pre-existing spiritual teachings or traditions. The entries in Root Meanings may differ from or go beyond widely accepted teachings. Moreover, some of what has been sourced may be novel.
  • Many excellent and useful definitions are not yet included. If you would like to make a suggestion, you may do so here.
  • If you find Root Meanings to be helpful, please considering sponsoring this work or making a donation. Your support helps to ensure that the definitions will continue to be refined and offered free of charge to the world.
  • The intention is to distribute Root Meanings under a suitable Creative Commons license before the end of the decade. In the meantime, unless otherwise noted, all works in progress and the final work are copyright Jeff Vander Clute.

True self

  • The self that knows what it is.
  • The true self knows that all is divine.
  • The true self knows that it is Creator/Divinity/God/Source.
  • The true self knows THAT which IT is beyond self.
  • The true self does not separate or exclude.
  • The true self operates with the awareness of oneness.
  • While the true self sees a vast diversity of appearances, it knows that there are no “others.”
  • Since the true self knows that it is one with all that is, it does not identify strongly with gender or other features of manifestation.
