What Is Coaching from the Future?

This post may grow and evolve based on emerging insights regarding coaches from the future. For now, here is an initial list of features and benefits of coaching from the future that calibrate as fully true:

• Coaching from the future works, first and foremost, with the presence of awakeness, including the awake self. When awakeness is the foreground, the unawakened self can be loved, resolved, and transmuted into awakeness when it appears.
• Embodying the healed, transformed, and awakened future now.
• Being awake. To coach from the future, we need to be awake to the true nature of reality, time, simultaneity, emergence, and life.
• Having the capacity to recognize and facilitate awakening.
• Sourcing from the heart, body, and mind, and from beyond the local self.
• Seeing the healed, transformed, and awakened future now – in the present moment and in present circumstances.
• Seeing right actions that can be taken now to align with and inhabit the healed, transformed, and awakened future now.
• Discerning and offering appropriate practices for embodied awakening.
• Identifying true gifts and abilities along with opportunities to use these in service.
• Cultivating joy, enjoyment, flourishing, and fulfillment.
• Celebrating healing, transformation, and awakening.
• Understanding the human mind and its dysfunctions as well as the causes of suffering.
• Understanding the nature of healing and awakening (as a reorientation from unreality to reality) and the levels/domains where this reorientation occurs.
• Having the ability to see the total pattern and hold both personal and transpersonal perspectives simultaneously.
• Staying grounded and practical: being here and now; engaging with present circumstances; discerning and taking optimal steps.
• Outcomes of coaching from the future include radical transformation of individuals, collectives, and systems. In the case of organizations, the transformation can be mapped in the context of Radiant Organizations. Eventually, with persistence and widespread adoption, this work leads to the experience of a world that works for all.

A few additional thoughts:

It is essential to understand what time is (cf. the entry for time in Root Meanings and “The Five Times“). The past, present, and future are all simultaneous and interpenetrating. The future is present now in seed form, and also in its entirety. We can access all that ever is now, including the future.

Sourcing is a technology for doing this.

The future is not fixed. Future circumstances evolve, dissolve, and disappear as we heal, awaken, learn, integrate, and resolve misunderstandings now. Time disappears when it is no longer needed to support this process. Thus predictions can only be provisionally helpful. Predictions do not, and cannot, always come true. In fact, predictions become less and less accurate as one becomes, and as society becomes, more conscious. Predictions are simply information to support the next unfolding of embryonic awakeness. They offer information that provokes a response in the present that supports healing, awakening, learning, integration, and resolution. As the work is completed now, the corresponding time that would otherwise be required for the work to be completed “in the future” disappears.

Since the arrow of time points in the direction of healing, awakening, learning, integration, and resolution, the future is always more healed and awakened than the past. To coach from the future is to operate from and as the healed and awakened future, and to offer “medicine” that supports people’s healing and awakening processes now. The optimal medicine includes information and practices that foster alignment with living awakeness.

The future of humanity is enlightenment, and the future is now. Coaching from the future brings the eternal and ever-present perfection into lived experience now, for one and all.
