General notes:

- The entries in Root Meanings have been sourced and refined until they calibrate all the way for truth. Older entries may need to be updated for this to be the case.
- The primary criterion for inclusion in Root Meanings is calibration for truth. These entries are not intended to be consistent with any pre-existing spiritual teachings or traditions. The entries in Root Meanings may differ from or go beyond widely accepted teachings. Moreover, some of what has been sourced may be novel.
- Many excellent and useful definitions are not yet included. If you would like to make a suggestion, you may do so here.
- If you find Root Meanings to be helpful, please considering sponsoring this work or making a donation. Your support helps to ensure that the definitions will continue to be refined and offered free of charge to the world.

Uncertainty
- The absence of certainty.
- The impossibility of knowing the complete state of a system.
- Uncertainty is an intrinsic quality of manifestation.
- Uncertainty is an intrinsic quality of what cannot actually exist.
- The state of manifestation cannot be completely known since it is being recreated in each instant and such recreation need not follow any laws that are believed to govern form.
- As manifestation is one process, uncertainty also applies to every apparent subset of manifestation.
- What is certain about manifestation is that it is a mirage of consciousness. Manifestation is a thought form that hovers above the ground of reality. The whole of manifestation is continuously shifting and any attribute of manifestation could be otherwise in any instant.
Sayings:
- “Do not go looking for certainty in the world. What is certain is that the world is not what it appears to be. Thus no measurements are completely certain.”
