Table of Contents for Root Meanings

General notes:

  • Root Meanings is a work in progress that will continue to emerge and evolve. All entries are subject to evolution.
  • The entries in Root Meanings have been sourced and refined until they calibrate all the way for truth. Older entries may need to be updated for this to be the case.
  • The primary criterion for inclusion in Root Meanings is calibration for truth. These entries are not intended to be consistent with any pre-existing spiritual teachings or traditions. The entries in Root Meanings may differ from or go beyond widely accepted teachings. Moreover, some of what has been sourced may be novel.
  • Many excellent and useful definitions are not yet included. If you would like to make a suggestion, you may do so here.
  • If you find Root Meanings to be helpful, please considering sponsoring this work or making a donation. Your support helps to ensure that the definitions will continue to be refined and offered free of charge to the world.
  • The intention is to distribute Root Meanings under a suitable Creative Commons license before the end of the decade. In the meantime, unless otherwise noted, all works in progress and the final work are copyright Jeff Vander Clute.

Post-nonduality

  • An adjective that refers to that which transcends nonduality.
  • An adjective that refers to realization that may follow the realization of nonduality.
  • If nonduality is regarded as a body of teachings, then all that is beyond all teachings is post-nonduality.
  • If nonduality is regarded as a pointer to the Truth, then all that is beyond all pointers is post-nonduality.
  • Being the ground of creation, prior to ideas of dual and nondual.
  • Being THE SUPREME – beyond all beings, including Supreme Being.
  • One who simply is THE SUPREME is post-nonduality.
  • Post-nonduality is beyond all pointers and all teachings.
  • The apex realization of sourceness, beyond the realization of being one with all, is a post-nonduality realization.
  • The real in “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists.” is post-nonduality (From the opening to A Course in Miracles.)
  • Total integration is post-nonduality.
  • A possible exception: If nonduality is regarded as a synonym for unicity or prior unity, then there is nothing beyond nonduality. However, the complicated nature of non + duality is a clue that the mind wielding the term has not yet fully resolved into simply being THE SUPREME. As the truth calibration for defining nonduality as prior unity or unicity is quite low, this exception can be discarded.
  • Of course, one could make the same point about the even more complicated post + non + duality. The word “post-nonduality” is only temporarily useful in establishing that there is realization post-nonduality or beyond nonduality.
