Mystical experiences cover a wide range on the Ladder of Awakening – from rung 3.2 to rung 10.7. One could say that mystical experiences are the infinite Intelligence getting our attention by serving up information that does not fit into our pre-existing mental models. Once our mental models have been cracked open, mystical experiences may occur less frequently since the main purpose for having them has been fulfilled. On the other hand, as we discover radical subjectivity and creatorship, all experiences can be recognized as mystical in the sense that they evidence creative processes that transcend consensus reality.
Since all experiences are content in the Mind, we can hold them lightly and without attachment. At the same time, experiences – especially mystical experiences – can offer extremely valuable signals and insights. As we reconcile these views, we integrate the two truths. In service to such an integration, it resonates to offer the following transmissions from Beyond Every Teaching: “Awake Beyond Experience,” “A Total Integration,” and “The Conclusion of Science.”
