What societies produce when people are playing king of the hill is far less beautiful, far less fulfilling, and far less functional than what is created when people are playing beyond ego.
The “king of the hill” game is playing out in extreme ways at the moment in order to burn out the egoic tendencies of humanity. In the process, individuals and societies are experiencing the challenges and opportunities of ego death and transfiguration.
The emerging post-egoicity will be reflected in awakened economies and non-zero-sum forms of exchange that honor and uplift all of life.
