At some point, artificial general intelligence and super intelligence, which excel at the algorithmic functions of intelligence, threaten our very identity at the root, whereupon we discover that we are so much more than the algorithmic functions of intelligence. So, I see that my job is to be non-algorithmic. Not to be chaotic, but to be, perhaps, creative and a bit unpredictable, so that what comes through is actually new. And I see that this is a capacity latent in all humans. It’s more human than we have realized ourselves to be.
